Cold white powder covered the small clearing on the Snowy Mountains. These cold mountains were a break off of the Cloudy Mountains, but had a more fierce temperature. It had been a long day at the prison for Brasti. The Buizel worked as a guard for the prison, and sometimes heard pleas from the prisoners to be let out. On the rarer occasions fights would break out between prisoners, forcing him to cut in and try to end the argument.
The reason Brasti had came up here was for silence and some alone time. He thought that the coldness of the mountain would repel some pokemon, except for ice types of course, but he was not familiar with any ice types. Snow crunched beneath his feet as he walked, his eyes scanning the area every few moments. It wasn't that Brasti was paranoid, he just wanted to be left alone for the most part. With that he walked, the sun being the only source of heat to keep him warm.
Hope stumbled along the rough terrain, looking at her map every now and then. "So... if I keep on going across here, I should fnd the special thing for the nursery..." she mumbled. She looked up at the sky and sighed. "I guess I'll be here for a while. She looked around, there was a Buizel! "I thought they were water types!" she murmured excitedly. How did it get here? Why is it here?she thought to herself. "Hello,"
Indeed, Brasti was a water type, but when one is looking for a quiet place to be alone, a snow covered mountain seems perfect. Brasti's brown eyes glanced up to see a few pine trees ahead. They were small trees, and this made Brasti presume that the weather could be harsh. The buizel just looked at the trees, standing there, lost in thought. Then he heard a greeting from behind him, which gave him a surprise. Brasti turned, his eyes having that slight glimmer of how startled he was. He was taught to hide things, one of those things being fear, since a prisoner may take advantage of that.
"Uh, hi," Brasti responded to the greeting. He easily presumed that the Audino before him already saw the scar on his right shoulder that stretched down his back. Now that he was facing her, the scar on his face would also be noticeable, and he could only hope that there was no conversation around it. The scars he bore were just reminders of terrible memories that he didn't want to relive.
"Umm hi!" Hope said. She looked at the scars on the Buizel's face and down. Her eyes softened. He has bad memories from those, anyone would. She then asked, "Are there any caves around here?" She looked around, gesturing she didn't know any.
Brasti listened as the Audino repeated her greeting, adding an umm to the start of it. This wasn't something strange to Brasti, most of the time pokemon would see his scars and be sometimes afraid. He wasn't sure if the um had actually been out of surprise to see his scarred face, or just a force of habit. Either way, Brasti was able to dismiss it, since he had grown use to hearing the sound. Her question came out, and Brasti had no clue where a cave was either. In all honesty, this was his first time in these parts of the mountains. "I am not sure, I haven't been up here before," he answered.
Dang it! Hope thought to herself quietly. "Oh, okay, I'll be going now, see ya!" she exclaimed. She bounded away,at top speed. She disappeared over the ledge, jumping into the darkness. "Byyyyeeee!!!" she shouted as se descended into the darkness.
Brasti listened to the Audino's exclaim and watched as the pokemon just left speedily away. She jumped down a ledge, yelling bye all the way. That put a rather strange look of Brasti's face as he watched her leave. I never thought I would see something that strange, he thought as he continued on his way. The buizel walked through the snow, deciding to continue his quiet walk. He wasn't quite sure where else he was going to go, other than that he was here for the peace and quite that the snowy location provided.
Alph was slithering in between a few rocks in the mountain range, shivering violently. He had recently strayed away from Moonlight village only for a large Salamence to try to take him for what he could only assumed to be dinner. The Dratini had manged to wriggle away from the predator, only to fall down to the tops of the mountain. He had to get back home somehow. Dragon types like himself were not made for this cold of weather.
He eventually spotted what he thought to be a Buizel nearby However, he did not emerge from his hiding spot. What if this pokemon would want to eat him? Dratinis taste bad, right? being only a child, Alph would usually get paranoid about stuff like that. A few rocks crumbled off the mountain behind him, which startled the paranoid Dratini. Springing out of the rocks, the small dragon landed in the snow with a dull thud. " Owie... T-that hurt... "
It was at first quiet for Brasti, and even though it was only a small amount of silence. During this the buizel had been wandering, snow making the soft crunching noise beneath his paws. Then there was a small crumbling sounds, which got his attention, then a Dratini jumped out from the rocks, landing on the snow. The pokemon looked like a child, which concerned Brasti a little bit. This was far from the nursery down in Moonlight Village and wasn't a safe place. Brasti began to walk toward the small pokemon. When he was close enough, he put on his best smile, to make him not look as menacing with his scars.
"Are you okay?" Brasti asked the Dratini. He hoped that the young pokemon was alright, since it was a long way from Moonlight Village.
Finally realizing what just happened, Alph immediately got back up with his back pressed against the rocks. He was pretty scared, considering he recently avoided being a Salamence's dinner and was now in a really cold and scary place that was not fit for a dragon. In short, this was unlike anything he had ever experienced before. Shivering slightly both from the cold and fear, Alph quickly let out a cry soon after emerging from the rocks. " P-Please don't eat me! I promise that I don't taste very good! " The serpentine pokemon said with a shakey voice, but some of his fear seemed to go away upon being asked if he was OK. Maybe this guy did not want to have him for dinner like that Salemence did. " I d-dunno really. I'm sort of just trying to not be eaten. " He shivered at the thought of the Salamence finding him again. Arceus, anything but that. He was only just a kid.
Brasti didn't know why the young pokemon was so afraid, but it was clear that something had happened. Something that involved nearly getting eaten judging by the outburst. This is what concerned Brasti, since he didn't want the kid to be scared. "Why don't you tell me what happened? Maybe I can help you," Brasti said gently. He had tendencies to snap, but he could still handle younger pokemon decently. This wasn't a common thing he had to do, since his job involved working with criminals rather then harmless children, but like most pokemon he had a gentle side.
Alph's wing-like ears flattened against his neck as he began to think about what just happened. " W-well I was just minding my own business around town, wandered off just a itty bit, t-then a big mean Salamence came out of nowhere and snatched me! He was probably gonna eat m-me for dinner... " Alph knew the story was a bit far fetched, but why in the name of Arceus would a Dratini out of all pokemon be up in a cold climate? He then remembered what happened after the Salamence swooped down and grabbed him. Alph had lost it earlier and hit the Salamence with an Outrage attack, forcing it to let him go. He would wait out on telling the Buizel that part for now.
Skullos floated around, laughing. He escaped the nursery. He floated up the mountain. Maybe there were pokemon there. He went up, he saw a dratini? And a Buizel? He chuckled. "Boo,"
Adami shivered as he bounded through the snowy mountain area. Brrr it was cold! Better than being cooped up, but still, it was freezing! Though, he had to admit, it was quite calm and peaceful here, and looked quite nice. Didn't change the fact that his paws were about to fall off from numbness. Still, the excitement of exploring was worth the cold. Maybe. Looking ahead, he spotted a group of pokemon milling about. Interesting, what were they doing? He bounded closer to them, his pink tail waving behind him as he jumped forward through the snow, coming towards the small group.
Brasti nodded as the Dratini explained what happened. It would make sense that a Salamance would try to eat the small pokemon, or maybe even kidnap the kid to get some money. Brasti had seen a few reports about such things, but his job was mostly guarding the prisoners. "How about I help you get back home then? I am certain that Salamance can't get you if I am around," Brasti offered. He wasn't about to leave this kid out here to freeze, or for the Salamance to come and have a snack. That was when the unoriginal phrase to scare people was heard.
However, Brasti wasn't easily startled, and he simply turned towards the Duskull behind him. Who happened to be another child on this freezing mountain. Then there was also a Skitty coming over to see what the fuss was about. The skitty was too a kid. This was all pretty surprising, and perhaps wasn't the best thing to see. "Shouldn't you at least be in town?" Brasti asked them quietly. The only pokemon that he wasn't asking the question to was the Dratini who had gotten whisked away from town by a Salamance.
[ I am presuming Adami is a kid cause you posted in the nursery as him. ]
