The moon was at the highest point in the sky when Ava wandered into Breezy Plains. Below Ava's paws was cold grass, that gave her a slight chill. She had no clue why she had wondered to the Breezy Plains so late, and on such a cold night.
Ava ignored the chills that crept up her pelt, and walked forward. Her emerald eyes darted from left to right, as though she expected something to happen. Then her gaze went to the sky, and she went breathless at the beauty of the stars. A smile crept onto her face, and she sat herself down in the grass.
The stars twinkled in the sky, each seeming to have their own glow. Her tail moved in the slightest ways of happiness as she watched the stars. To Ava, the stars were one of the few things she would never want to steal. It wasn't because of the distance or impossibility of such an idea, but it was the fact that the night sky wouldn't be the same without them.
Even though she would love to be a great thief, the stars were something she wanted all to enjoy. Thus, she remained in the plains, her head looking at the twinkling lights.
Skullos appeared in the distance. Everything about him was creepy. His eyes glowed red in the distance as he watched the Lieperd walking across the field. He chuckled. He was going to scare this pokemon.
The stars above continued to twinkle, making Ava smile. The Liepard released a shiver as a cold breeze came through the plains. The breeze didn't detour her attention was the sparkling majesty in the sky.
What did detour her attention was a gut feeling. Ava didn't have any special senses, but being such a marvelous thief, she could almost tell when she was being watched.
"Did someone come to ruin my wonderful evening?" The Liepard uttered to herself. Her head turned and once again she scanned the clearing, with her emerald eyes looking over each blade.
Skullos turned invisible. He didn't want to be noticed so quickly. He glided around, brushing the grass. "Avaaa.... Avaaaa!" Skullos whispered creepily. "Aaavvaaa... I know what you have done, you musst pay!!" Skullos screamed. He knew all about her from his "friend" the Ralts, Fairey.
Ava was a bit concerned, since she wasn't use to her name traveling about. The Liepard leaped to her paws, now glaring angrily, but she wasn't that easy to fool.
"If you know what I have done, then what have I done?" Ava said, testing this ghost. She had a smirk on her face, she hadn't gotten caught once for thievery, so if this ghost truly did know, she would be gone.
There was one thing that kept Ava here though, which was the conceited portion of her mind. She was confident she could fight a ghost, but she had pokemon to steal from and places to be.
Skullos groaned. He hadn't talked enough to Fairey to know that much. "Okay, you caught me," he said, appearing in his toddler form, of course, he was a toddler.
There was a smirk upon Ava's face. She had successfully outsmarted a, toddler? She didn't mind children in all honesty, but outsmarting one wasn't very impressive.
She recognized the pokemon known as Duskull, simply because it was an easily recognized pokemon. "I am not that easily fooled, now what's a kid like you doing out here alone?" Ava asked, more so out of curiosity.
Normally toddlers were watched carefully by Chansey in a prison that Ava would call a nursery, or by their parents.
Ava wasn't surprised that one kid had managed to escape the nursery. She knew that it was dangerous got children to be out with no protector. Then the question came back to her, and she released a small laugh.
"Well, I am an adult if it isn't obvious." Ava answered, with the tinniest bit of mock in her tone. Ava didn't want to have that tone, but she enjoyed being an adult to the point that it arose.
Ava scowled, this pokemon was being rather rude, and she didn't like it. "And I can claw your face in if you keep being rude." Ava growled, no longer playing nice kitty. In Ava's opinion, this kid could use an attitude check, and she would be willing to give him one.
Skullos would have smiled, if he could. "HeeHee... Your funny!" he exclaimed to the lieperd. He then backed away and said, "Shadow Ball!!" A tiny orb of black, aimed for Ava, came out of his, whatever. It hit the ground next to her, but boy! it packed a powerful punch! A chunk of the ground exploded.
Like a battle-hardened warrior, Ava didn't flinch, her bravery being superior to anything else. As the chunks of dirt went over her head, she just smirked. "You think your tough? How cute." Ava said rudely.
With that her mind scrolled though her moves, until the once that could do the most damage to the ground came into mind. The Liepard leaped high and her tail released a bright, white light. Her back curved until she almost did a somersault in the air.
On the way down one thing had changed, that being her tail, which was now like a rod of iron. Her tail landed in front of the child, hitting the ground with a very loud thud. Pieces of earth scattered, until a large whole was where she hit the ground. The grass was gone from the small space, creating a blemish in the Breezy Plains.
Ava landed, not bothered by the small amounts of dirt that got caught in her fur. A smile was upon her face as she saw that the Duskull was flabbergasted. She watched as the pokemon came closer, asking how she did it.
"It's a move called iron tail, I learned how to use it. Ava explained simply.
