the blueprints
Mageik is not one for flashy paint jobs or accessories. he keeps his hulking form the way it has been since evolution. his blue frame shines in the sunlight, and his red eyes produce a soft glow that strengthens in the darkness. as a metagross, he can naturally lift his bulk off the ground by surrounding himself with psychic energy. this is the only way he can achieve any sort of speed. if he leaves himself to walk, his movements are slow and often choppy, and the faint sound of metal rubbing against metal can be heard.
the artificial intelligence
while he may not have been the smartest beldum in the world, growing up and evolution has definitely increased his intelligence by... well, the number is too high to count. four brains does that for you. this intelligence is both his strength and his weakness. it is his strength in battle, able to calculate and predict his opponent's next movement with high accuracy (though there have been some to surprise him). it is his weakness in terms of socializing. he isn't the best at "making friends," and he can often be found with a cold air around him. he is blunt, and he can be quite ruthless. his understanding of emotions only go as far as the knowledge obtained through books. yet, when it comes to applying that knowledge, he finds himself stumped.
the archives
the origins of mageik are unknown. if one wanted to make some speculation, they would say that his parents were of the beldum line and a ditto who probably got together for one night and one night only. mageik would rather not speculate his birth, however. the means of his birth are unnecessary and inconvenient, and he would rather focus on his actual life rather than whatever happened before it.
mageik never knew his parents, and he has never wanted to. as a beldum, he was raised by himself in the mountain ranges of the island. he did not have anyone to guide him, and he had to figure everything out through the scientific method. he trained himself in isolation until he finally evolved into a metang towards his adolescence. with an extra brain, he found himself able to think more clearly and a desire to see what was beyond the mountains formed and raged like a wild fire. he left the cavern he had occupied for so many years, discovering a world untold.
the decade or so was spent getting used to society, traveling around the island, and, once more, training himself. he would spend the cold seasons in isolation, training his mind and his body, and he would return to civilization during the warmer seasons. before long, he had evolved into a metagross, symbolizing his advancement into adulthood. he doesn't have a set goal in his life. he still follows the same routine, and he hasn't really settled down anywhere. there has never been a need to.
