Snow covered the blue steel that made up his entire frame, a light dusting that did not melt. the flakes only shifted with each heavy footfall that shook the earth, knocking pebbles and ice from their stations, rolling down the mountain. the metagross came to a halt as he neared the entrance to a cave. glowing red eyes stared into the dark, gaping mouth of the mountain, his eyes beginning to glow brighter as he tried to see beyond the cave entrance from where he stood to no avail.
There was a groan of metal that echoed down the mountain as he lowered his central body, continuing to stare into the dungeon entrance. his minds rapidly tried to hypothesize every possibility of what might happen if he entered alone. he had lived in the mountains most of his life, so he knew how dangerous it could be. he wasn't a weakling beldum anymore, and he could probably solo a dungeon. However, there was still that one brain that told him to be cautious.
Adami was cold! Still! But, as long as he could avoid going back to the boring nursery he was fine. He grinned. Apparently he wasn't the only one who escaped every now and then. Who was he kidding? He escaped all the time. Who wouldn't? That nursery was mind numbingly dull, so much that one began to go insane. Bounding forward through the snowy mountains, Adami began to make out the entrance to a cave. A cave? It could be a dungeon maybe! He'd never been in a dungeon! It sounded exciting, and dangerous, and full of treasure and exploring. He practically dashed to the entrance, stopping right at the mouth of the cave beside a giant steel pole (or leg rather) to gaze into the opening, his eyes lighting up with excitement. Well, supposedly lighting up. You couldn't really tell though since he's a skitty.
while his brains were keeping him preoccupied, it took him a moment to notice that something was beside him. he blinked, though the action was slow as the glow of his eyes faded into blackness before the red returned. The metagross shifted, his body groaning as he lifted his leg off of the ground, moving it to the other side of the small, pink, feline with a loud thud. the central section of his body tilted, red eyes leering down at the much smaller form. skitty. from the looks of it, this pokemon was far too young to be out in the mountains unattended. "who?" came the metallic, monotonous voice without even the slightest twitch from his mouth.
Adami tore his gaze from the cave mouth, gazing up at the giant metagross as it moved around him. It was huge! And made entirely of metal from the looks of it! Steel types really did have metal skin! He was fascinated. He tilted his head at the creature as it spoke. How did it talk without moving it's mouth like that? Ah, right, it had asked him a question. "The names Adami. Adami Koneko! Who are you?" A thought crept into his head. If this pokemon was in front of a big dungeon like this, maybe they were an explorer! With a badge and stuff, going around and completing quests and helping people! Or maybe he was coming here to train by taking on an entire dungeon by himself! That sounded hard though, wouldn't he need some help?
the metal beast stared. that was all he could do. he stood, staring, unblinking at the small feline pokemon. his minds raced, pulling up every single file he had stored away about skitty. normal type, feline, low stats, signature move of assist, primarily a female species, lived in forests. there were two things he was certain of: this cat was not in the forest and far away from home, and he could be considered a minority of his species. there was another moment of silence as he stored away the skitty's name for usage later. "mageik." he replied, breaking his silence. yet, he left it at that, giving nothing more about himself.
Adami watched the metagross, intrigued at how the metagross seemed to rarely blink. He wondered what it felt like to be a giant machine. Weren't metagrosses supposed to have four brains? That must make him really smart! But how was he able to process everything, wouldn't it be confusing to be thinking with four seperate brains at once? That seemed like an aweful lot of multitasking. "Mageik? That's a cool name!" He had never heard of anyone named something as strange as mageik before! Maybe he was from another land! His thoughts strayed back to the dungeon. "Were you going to go into this dungeon? All by yourself?" Wouldn't it be better to have a teammate before entering a big dungeon? But the metagross didn't seem to have any teammates. It seemed like it would be dangerous for any pokemon to try to solo a dungeon.
his body slowly turned once more, his permanently narrowed red eyes peering into the darkness of the mouth of the mountain once more. to answer the skitty's question, he produced a sound similar to bending metal with a rapid beeping mixed in, muffled by the initial sound. it was almost like the robotic pokemon's equivalent to a hum, a sound that said yes. he remained silent for a few moments more, rocking his central body up and down, left and right, knocking the growing layer of snow that was settling to the sloping ground below. "children should not be here." mageik glanced down at the skitty once more before settling his gaze on the mouth of the cave. he would have to go in eventually, but he couldn't quite do that while there was a kitten in the area.
Adami tilted his head as the metagross started making a lot of strange mechanical sounds. He thought it meant yes, which meant the metagross really did intend to solo the dungeon. He looked big and powerful sure, but even Adami knew that soloing was a dangerous thing. If the metagross didn't have any teammates, maybe Adami should help him out! He wasn't particularly strong, but he was fast, and had a few good moves that could help out the metagross. Here it was again though. Always being restricted from things because he was a child. Bah, he wasn't a tiny little baby anymore! "Well, pokemon shouldn't try clearing a dungeon without a partner to cover them! How is what I'm doing anymore dangerous then what your doing?" If Mageik was going to enter that dungeon without a teammate, Adami was going to follow. He wasn't just a little kid anymore.
This skitty was not giving up, and the MEtagross was getting tired of waiting around. "you are young and reckless," he drawled, his red eyes glowing brighter than before as the silver metal crossing his face began to faintly emit light. mageik jumped, tucking his legs against his underbelly (which, really, was more like his chin). "you are not my problem. good luck." with his words of parting, the dual type shot off, gaining incredible speed while in the air rather than trudging around on the ground. the hunk of metal disappeared into the darkness of the cave's mouth, not stopping, bulldozing past the feral Pokemon, until he had made certain he was deep within the cave. now he could train.
Adami opened his mouth to object when the great pokemon dashed off through the air. Wow he was fast, but Adami was determined now. Anyways, as he had explained to the buizel earlier, he could handle himself quite well, and, after all, as long as he stayed near the giant metagross he shouldn't even have any problems. With this determination Adami dashed after the speeding metagross, bounding past the disoriented feral pokemon that had been knocked aside in mageiks haste. The metagross proved too fast for the little skitty though, and Adami soon lost him. Slowing down, Adami stopped to look around. No sign of the metagross. But, if kept heading deeper he should find him right? Thats how it usually worked. He couldn't let the metagross do this alone. Adami continued forward catiously. Feral pokemon now ranged freely, and the little skitty had to be careful not to be spotted. One of the ranging pokemon, a sneasel, seemed to notice him and approached threateningly. Adami backed up carefully, and when the sneasel tried to use slash on him he leapt behind the pokemon, and began to sing softly until the pokemon slowly was lulled asleep. Adami carefully slunk away. He really had to find that metagross . . .
