Stardust woke under the morning sunlight coursing through her window. Getting up she stretched and climbed out of her hay bed. The umbreon picked up her bag and let it slide down her back. It felt light and she knew she would need to gather supplies before she heads out on a job. Outside her home the morning was a little cool but the sunlight warm and comforting like a soft blanket.
As Stardust walked down through the streets she nodded and greeted the passerbies. She sniffed the air and couldn't help but let out a tiny smile. Before heading to The Kelton Shop Stardust decided to hangout at Spinda Café for a while. Hopefully she could find something out about her sister who has gone missing a couple years back. Inside Stardust went straight to Spinda and sat down on a blue pillow, ordering a glass of orange juice and a plate of sliced apples and oran berries with cream.
It had been a three day adventure through the mountains, without sleep or company, but last night Etude finally brought back the thief previously at large. She’d been plotting her celebration all the way back, but by the time she reached home, she was so low on energy and sleep her plan would have to wait.
When she woke up seven hours later, her proud spirit had died down and replaced her want of cake with something else. She wanted a sandwich from Spinda’s Cafe.
She left everything but some poke at her house in the residential district and walked to the cafe. It was the time of morning when stores were just opening but most citizens had yet to wake up. This was Etude’s favorite time - the morning felt fresh and quietly busy.
The cafe was no different from the street. There were only a few customers, but the Spinda looked awake and ready at the counter. They exchanged greetings, and the Spinda quickly produced the oran berry sandwich and juice mix she ordered.
Balancing the food on her head, she looked for a place to sit. The tables were mostly open. However, there was a fellow customer who interested Etude. She was an umbreon, a species often equated or compared to Etude’s own, and one she didn’t often see.
Etude took the seat across from the unfamiliar pokemon, asking “Is this seat taken?” only after she’d sat down. She slid the plate and cup onto the round wooden table.
Stardust was taking a sip of her drink through the straw when an absolute entered the café. It caught her eye because she rarely seen an absolute up close. For a moment Stardust wondered if the absolute wouldn't mind sitting with her. Stardust rarely gets to hang around other dark types. The only dark type Pokémon she met was her father that was a houndoom.
When the absolute got her tray of food she came over to Stardust and asked if it was okay if she sat here. A little surprised Stardust shook her head. "No, it's fine. It's nice to have some company once and awhile," she said as the other pokemon put her tray down on the table and sat. After the absolute introduced herself as Etrude it was only logical to speak her name. "I'm Stardust, and it is quite nice," she said. She noticed the bag similar to her own and knew immediately it was an explorer bag. Taking another sip of her juice, Star couldn't help but ask. "You an Explorer or something?"
Stardust, Etude thought, was a fitting name for an umbreon. And this was a fitting place to have company, as Stardust had said, though even if she had declined Etude the spot, she doubted she would have left.
“I’m not an explorer.” Etude chuckled. “Used to be, when I was your age, but not anymore. I track down criminals and guard the prison.”
Mention of her rescue team days brought up old memories, some good, some bad, and some she still wore in the form of scars. She still had her badge, wrapped up with her old and worn cape, tucked under her bed.
“What about you?” she asked, raising her brow. “Do you go on great adventures?” She couldn’t see a badge on Stardust, but some pokemon put them in their bags.

Taiyou trotted past the buildings of the village, a quest paper carefully gripped in his jaws as he went to go turn it in. It was a small retrieval quest, barely worth anything, and he realized he really ought to be considering what he was actually going to do for his life, because if it was exploration then he needed to get serious and perhaps consider finding a team. Despite having the bag and badge, he was really more of a hobbyist when it came to exploration. He did it to fill the time, but he didn't pursue it with the zeal some others show. He was more then willing to help, but he also acknowledged that he didn't have to do it, there was no need for him to hurtle himself at every quest offering. The espeon finished turning in the paper and giving the pokemon concerned the item they had wanted retrieved. Stretching, he shook out his fur and then licked it down smooth again. What now? An opened door wafted the scent of food to him, and he suddenly realized that he was famished. Nothing for it then to go. Taiyou strode into Spinda's cafe, pausing a moment to sniff the air. Ahhh, nothing better. Weaving his way to Spinda, he placed his order, taking the pause while his food was being prepared to glance around for a seat.
What Etrude said intrigued her. Of course Stardust took jobs concerning catching criminals. After all the other jobs Star thought finding lost or wanted pokemon were a lot more challenging than retrieving items. What does it matter if you lost an item? Star thought it was quite ridiculous and a waste of effort and time.
"I wouldn't say great. Although I am an explorer I mainly search for pokemon lost or criminal," as she said that it got her wondering. Was she perhaps trying to even search for her sister.
Star has made a request on the board concerning her sister but so far no one who took the job found her and gave up on it. Now it's just sitting at the board. Another pokemon entered the café and for a moment she thought it was her mother till she realized the espeon was male. When the other pokemon made his order and looking around to sit Stardust wondered if he would want to sit with them. It's not often she gets to see another eevee evolved pokemon.
"You can come over and sit here if you like," Stardust offered, angling hee head to one of the vacant seats.

Taiyou glanced over as he heard a voice directed towards. He nodded graciously as he was offered a seat, and turning to grab his plate in his jaws, he gracefully wove his way towards the proffered seat. Placing his plate down carefully, he took his seat at the table, looking over at the umbreon. "Thank you." His gaze also swept over to the second figure at the table, an absol, obviously much older. He was far beyond adolesence, but she was obviously his elder by a bit. He nodded to her respectfully.
