Quni has no idea who his parents were or if he even has siblings. All he does know is that his egg was left in a cave deep in Cloudy Mountain. Tyroc, a famous explorer and treasure hunter went to Cloudy mountain on a job when he took shelter in that very cave. There he found Quni's egg, abandoned, and decided to take it with him. After finishing the job he went home and tried to figure out what to do with this mysterious pokemon egg. Not long after did the egg begin to hatch. Tyroc had panicked and quickly took the egg to Chansey. It hatched and a cyndaquil was born. So warmed and emotional the typhlosion was, he decided to keep tge baby pokemon and retire. With his badge on the shelf he raised Quni like he was his own son. And all his life Quni eagerly listened to his grandfather's stories about treasure and great adventures. He dreamed of following his Grandfather's footsteps which couldn't make Tyroc any prouder and decided to teach him everything he knew. When he thought Quni was ready he gave him his badge.
