Raiden fell back on four paws with a small grunt as the rock hit his shoulder. That was much harder then the dragon pulse from earlier, and th larvitar's order made their choice clear. They wished to fight.
Raiden quickly took scope of the situation. Electric moves would only get him so far with the larvitar being there, but with them being so far away he had little option. The majority of his attacks required being in close range, face to face with his enemy. The mightyena seemed to be keeping its distance for now though, probably waiting for an opportunity to get in close. It certainly didn't look like a pokemon for ranged combat. However, the charged attack the noivern was preparing was most likely ranged. With a dragon pulse as well, it seemed as though that pokemon preffered to keep his distance and supply support fire. He could be wrong though . . . In either case, it might be difficult to get close to the flying pokemon, but if he could then it shouldn't take more then one or two hits with Ice Fang. He just had to hope the noivern didn't expect a luxray to know that type of move. The larvitar was probably his biggest enemy. The types were all in its favor, however, if he could get in a swagger on it, he stood a good chance. Even if the confusion did nothing more then make himself harder to hit, it would give him time to get in a few Ice Fangs.
Raiden began charging himself with electricty, his eyes mostly watching the noivern, being the only other pokemon with an atrack ready. If they chose to remain ranged then he was charged up enough to discharge his energy. But, he needed to make sure they were at range first. He did not want to waste moves, and with the larvitar here, every discharge was that much less effective.
