" Good. Just keep hitting the- " Beat was about to continue on talking when a Staraptor struck him in the chest with a brave bird. Another one tried to hit him with a Wing attack, but Beat managed to let out his Hurricane attack just in time. He then crossed his wings into a "X" over his chest and his body glew somewhat, taking in some of the moonlight, since the moon was still present even though it was day. When he had finished his healing attack, Beat ducked down when a Staraptor tried to brave-bird him again. Only now had Beat noticed he was getting perilously close to the edge of the path that was near the cave. It was a pretty steep drop, and Beat was still in no shape for flying.
"Protect!" Hope yelled as she spread her arms. She rummaged through her gigantic backpack. She pulled out a bo staff. (XD) She jumped up and whacked staraptors with close combat. She jumped up to Beat and said," Protect!" once more.
Well, it was time to take a shot at something Beat was thinking about. Opening his wings, Beat's body began to glow as he took in more moonlight, healing his wing wound somewhat. After that, he forced his wings open and leaped up into the air, smacking one of the bird Pokemon with a close range Dragon pulse. he continued to douse all of them with his Dragon Pulses, sometimes pausing to use Moonlight. His wound had healed thanks to his treatment the night before and his mass healing. " Heh, looks like we might have the upper hand now that I can fly again. " Beat landed back on the ground, then readied a Boomburst attack. " Cover your ears! " After that warning, A ear shattering soundwave was released from Beat's ears, disorienting the Bird pokemon.
Hope grinned. She readied herself. The Staraptors were stunned. Hope decided to take advantage of that. She ran at top speed. (50 miles?) She punched and kicked all of the staraptors.
Letting out one final Boomburst, the Staraptors had finally bailed and flew off into the foggy skies. " It's about time they stopped bugging me..." The noivern let out a quick screech in the Staraptor's direction, as if telling them to not come back. That flock had been chasing him for no reason, and it was about time they got off his back.
Hope turned to Beat and bowed. "Thank you for helping me," she said. "If you ever need me, I'll be in Moonlight Village!" she said. She turned, her giagantic backpack flouncing around. "Well, see ya!" she exclaimed. She hopped down and into the forest below.
