Crystal lake was Cloud's usual place to relax. It was a lot less crowded than the Big Oak at times, and the shining surface of the lake and tranquil atmosphere was very relaxing. He had stopped at the Nursery once today since some of the toddler pokemon enjoyed seeing him demonstrate his skills, and trained his butt off in the mountains. He was rather tired out, so Cloud had stopped here. Lying down near a rock and letting out a sigh of relief, Cloud was happy to finally get a break from the commotion of his life.
Fairey walked out to the lake. Today was her day off from the Kecleon brother's shop. She had broughten too much food. She layed down on a patch of grass next to the lake. She stared up at the empty sky.
Cloud opened one of his eyes to see a Ralts nearby. Ah, that brought back some memories, since he used to be a Ralts once when he was only a few years old. Good times. Nonetheless, the Gallade soon turned his attention to a slight disturbance in the lake, only to see a few Finneon leap out of the water. Eh, nothing major. He had been doing a lot of training and fighting recently. last time he saw a disturbance in the water, a Gyarados had leaped out.
But soon enough, a Tentacruel lunged out and tried to attack Cloud with a Sludge bomb. However, a Psycho cut sliced right through the attack and knocked the jellyfish pokemon back into the water. Did he ever get a break from doing this kind of stuff. Turning to the Ralts, Cloud just wanted to make sure none of the Sludge Bomb attack had hit the small pokemon. " You OK? "
Well, seemed like this little one was shy. " ..Anyways, I'm Cloud. " The Gallade replied, not wanting to have some awkward silence. Sitting back down and stretching a bit, Cloud's eyes were locked onto the lake. Seemed like most of the hostile pokemon down there knew better than to attack now.
Letting out a quick huff, Cloud decided to let the Ralts have what it seemed to want. Lying back down, Cloud closed his eyes and tried to fall asleep. Saying he was tired would be an understatement. He would occasionally just barely open one eye to look at the Ralts, then close it again.
Fairey walked in front of the Gallade. She wanted to help him sleep. "Hypnosis..." Fairey echoed to the Gallade. She sang a song, helping the Hypnosis take effect.
Cloud was going to open his eyes upon hearing a small voice in front of him, but a wave of, er, tired-ness washed over him and forcing him to fall asleep. For all he knew, he just got tired all of the sudden.
Fairey smiled. She took out her food out of her bag. She cut it up. She put it in a bowl. She mashed up the remaining fruit and turned it into juice. She clapped her hands, making the Gallade wake up. She scurried back behind the rock.
Cloud shook his head a bit upon being woken up, quickly getting back onto his feet. Well that just happened. Although rather confused at first, he quickly spotted the bowl of fruit and juice nearby. Well, it seemed to be for him. Picking it up, Cloud examined it for a moment, then finally decided to eat it. After a short while, Cloud had finished most of the snack, then set the bowl back down onto a nearby rock. Sitting back down, Cloud looked around the area. He didn't know if that Ralts was still here or if there were any other pokemon looking to pick a fight. Best to be on the alert for now.
Fairey blushed as she looked at the Gallade. She stared at him. She heard rumbling next to her. "Huh?" she said. Behind her she saw a exadrill pop up next to her, obviously aggresive. In fear, she retreated behind the rock. She screamed.
Paws pounded across the grass as Raiden streamed out across the lakeside. Leaping, he pinned his quarry to the ground, biting into it with an Ice Fang. The pokemon fainted with a weak cry. He stood and glanced down at the unconcious creature. The sandslash had thought the luxray would be an easy prey and had attempted to attack him. Raidens cold gaze left the downed pokemon. He was no prey, and would not be so easily taken down. His sharp gaze noticed two other pokemon further down the slope by the lakeside, and out of a mild curiosity he began to slink towards the pair, shooting a cold golden gaze at a tentacool that had peeked its way out of the lake water. The creature quickly retreated. A scream ripped through the air, and Raiden quickened his pace until he was bounding across the lakeside. He sprang, landing inbetween the raltz and the excadrill, attacking the creature with another ice fang and then rearing on his hind legs, his tail lashing as he rocked on his back legs, trying to judge his opponents health, and how much more the pokemon could take. He loathed ground types, but he had trained himself on how to use swagger for a reason, and he still had Ice Fang, the one move he had kept from when he had first hatched. Two evolutions and it was still a powerful move for dealing with those that would think him helpless.
Cloud's hands had a gleaming red aura around them, a sign of his Close Combat attack. He stopped in his tracks for a moment to see a Luxray leap at the Excadrill, attacking it with an Ice Fang. Well, the Excadrill had not fainted yet it seemed. Time to fix that. Lunging forward, Cliud's left arm glew as he fired a PSycho Cut at the steel pokemon, knocking it into the air. It tried todive down at the Gallade with a Drill Run, only for him to use protect to block it. Before the drill pokemon had a chance to attack again, Cloud finished it off with his Close Combat. With the attack's high power and super effective-ness on the weakened Excadrill, it barely stood much of a chance to endure the attack. It soon got back up and fled back into the forest.
Cloud soon looked down at the Ralths to make sure she was OK. Best not to talk to her since this Ralts seemed to be pretty shy. Instead, he looked back up at the Luxray and spoke. " And you are...? "
Fairey tried to hide. So much had happened. She would try and put them to sleep. She wanted to run. She used hypnosis on the two pokemon. Her tiny voice rang out loud and clear as she sang about nature to help the hypnosis take effect. "The wind, the sea, the earth, all combiined. They are the things that come to miind, they make up the world of peace and hope..." was what she began to sing.
