[Pluto]

    A Mudkip wandered along the beach. Every so often he would sneeze and a bubble would float from his mouth. He would stop to watch the bubble float away before he continued on his path across a beach. He didn't talk at all, just sneezed and walked. Eventually the Mudkip reached a place on the beach that made him happy enough and he settled himself onto the shore.
    Pluto was the Mudkip's name and Pluto was just close enough to the water that every so often it would wash over him and he would laugh a little. He flipped onto his back so he could see the sky just as another wave washed over him. This was one of Pluto's favourite places.
    Pluto sneezed again and a bubble escaped his mouth and floated into the air and then popped. Pluto then settled into the sand to sleep. He closed his eyes and smiled. Such a peaceful day. Maybe later he would go explore a dungeon just to make it better.

Chiki was walking along the beach for some reason. I'm here just to clear my head. she thought. She heard sneezing and laughing. What was it? As she walked to the shoreline. She saw a Mudkip laying in the water. "Hi! What's your name?" Chiki said to the Mudkip.

[Pluto]

    When a voice broke the near silence Pluto opened his eyes and peeked out of the little bed in the sand he had made. It was a chikorita. A female judging by her voice. "Hi. I'm Pluto." He stated as he watched the other pokemon. She seemed friendly enough that Pluto wasn't going to get a fight out of her instantly. "What's your name?" He asked after a few seconds. Another wave washed over Pluto, making him smile more. Water is wonderful. He thought to himself.

Chiki was nervous, she wasn't so good with other pokemon. She stepped side to side. "Ummm, hi. M-my name's Chiki, wha-," Chiki began. Oh wait, he already said that! Chiki thought to herself.

[Pluto]

    Pluto was suddenly aware of how awkward the chikorita was. She said her name was Chiki, but he couldn't get much more from her nervous talking pattern. He'd have to make her more comfortable somehow. Pluto quickly stood up and smiled before he opened he mouth and shot a stream of water at her, not hard enough to hurt her of course, but enough water to annoy most pokemon. He then sprinted away before she could react too negatively. "Catch me if you can Chiki!" He shouted over his should with a laugh. Hopefully she took part in the game.

Chiki was stunned. Why did that Mudkip do that? Do make her leave? Or did he want to play? She decided on door number two. "I can, Pluto!!" Chiki laughed with a twinkle in her eye. She bounded after him, she finally caught up. She tackled him. They tumbled until they were both on the floor. "Got you!" Chiki laughed.

[Pluto]

    Hearing the other pokemon call back made Pluto smile. Pluto quickly tried to tell with his fin where Chiki, who was probably chasing him, was. Right when he finally could tell, he figured out she was already lunging for him. Being too late to duck out of the way Pluto was hit and fell to the ground with her. He laughed as he tried to untangle himself from the chikorita. "Haha yeah. Speed isn't really my strong point." He stated with a smile. Strength was more his way. All mudkips were really strong. He wondered what chikoritas were good at. Maybe they were good with speed. "So what brings you to the beach?" Pluto asked as he finally managed to stand back up.

Chiki had fun, for the first time since she had left her parents! My parents... Chiki thought sadly, but, no matter! She was having fun! She listened intently to Pluto, heart pounding from all the movement. She was surprised by his question. "Umm... well.... this is my first day without my parents!" Chiki laughed.

[Pluto]

    First day? Well then Pluto was going to make it better than it might be if she was alone. "So what do you want to do? Since it's your first day alone we've gotta do something fun. Do you know how to swim? I'm really good at that." Pluto smiled and looked at her. He was ready for anything. He was just happy to spend somebody's first day alone with them.

Chiki blushed with embarassment. She didn't know how to swim! "U-um... can you teach me how?" she asked quietly.

[Pluto]

    Pluto nodded vigorously and then shot another stream of water at Chiki. "Of course I can teach you." He laughed. He then sprinted to the water. Leaving the, wet again, Chiki behind. He bounced into the water until it lapped at his underbelly, then he stopped. He waited for Chiki to get into the water too. As he waited Pluto sneezed out another bubble, which popped after it floated up into the air.

Chiki was stunned. Oh, that Pluto! She chased after him. As soon ad she got to the water, she pounced. She tackled Pluto, sending them both tumbling out of the water, once more. "Got you!!!!" Chiki said, panting and exhilarated.

[Pluto]

    Pluto laughed when he was tackled into the water. He instantly dove deeper into the water and began breathing through his gills. He freaked out for a split second, considering his fear of drowning, but his gills worked fine and he swam deeper into the water before popping up and smiling at Chiki. "You just have to peddle your legs real hard like you're running and try to keep your head above the water. I can help you if you're having troubles." He told her. He knew that if she did end up underwater that he could get her out no problem, so she had nothing to worry about.

Chiki tried. She slowly advanced into deeper water. "I-I'm doing it!" Chiki yelled. She started swimming in circles. All of a sudden, her leg wouldn't move from it's spot. It was stuck!! Chiki started panicking, her head went under. "Pluto!" Chiki burbled. The world started blacking out.

[Pluto]

    Pluto smiled as she swam around. She was probably a natural born swimmer. Pretty good for a grass type. He kept smiling until she started to sink. Then he frowned and dove underwater. In two quick seconds he got Chiki and then brought her closer to the shore where she'd be able to touch the ground. He quickly tried to make sure that she wasn't dead. That would be a bad first day. Maybe she could ride on his back for a while. That'd be pretty easy. Safer than swimming on her own.
