Chiki the Chikorita was excited. This was her first day without her parents!
She stumbled along the forest, breaking things unintentionally. Finally she looked up. A fruit! Oh, if only she could get it. But wait, she could! She wasn't a little one anymore! She was alone! She hoisted herself up, jumping (barely) from branch to branch.
Finally, she found the fruit she so richly desired. She bit into it. Eww! She almost choked from the taste. It was BITTER!!! As she spat the piece out, the branch began to shake. "Oh no..." Chiki mumbled to herself.
The branch broke with an alarming CRACK!! Chiki was sent tumbling towards the ground.
Chiki was on the ground. "All of that, for a measly bitter fruit," Chiki grumbled. She heard rustling coming from a bush. What could it be?
It was a joyful day for a particular thief, for she had successfully stolen an apple only moments ago. It was in her jaws now as she sprinted into Little Oak Forest in hopes that no soul would catch her. Ava was the name of this thief, and she had just stolen her breakfast with no one the wiser.
The Liepard had a content smile upon her face as she held the apple high in her jaws. Ava continued her way through the forest, and for a moment, closed her eyes to feel the wind as it brushed past her silky fur. When her eyes opened again, she was caught by surprised, for their in front of her was another pokemon. Ava tried to stop herself abruptly, but she fell forward onto her chest.
She had managed not to crash into the Chikorita before her, but her apple hit the ground, rolling into the dirt. This did not please Ava, and she just managed to hold her tongue instead of yelling at the pokemon before her, but displeasure was written all over Ava's face. She wanted the apple to be clean, completely clean, but instead it had rolled in the dirt.
The Liepard got to her paws and looked at the Chikorita before her. "So, squirt, thanks for the surprise that got dirt all over my breakfast." Ava said in a rude way. She then put her paw on the apple and rolled it back towards her, making sure it was not damaged. Ava didn't care much that it was dirty, but she had hoped to be eating something that was very clean.
Chiki was surprised! This was her first encounter with another pokemon! Well... this pokemon seemed rude. "Umm... sorry..." Chiki murmured quietly. She stared at the pokemon before her, "So... what's your name?" she said quietly.
Ava was pleased to hear the quiet apology escape the Chikorita's mouth. With that, the thief settled herself onto the dirt, laying on her belly. She swiped her paw over the apple to brush off any dirt, and took a bite. Her eyes drifted back to the Chikorita as she heard her question, and she swallowed the bite she had taken.
"The name's Ava, and staring is rude." Ava answered. "And how about you?" She continued, asking about the Chikorita's name. Ava took another big bite from her apple, and briefly closed her eyes with pleasure.
Chiki was offended. She looked away, blushing. "Oh, sorry," Chiki mumbled quietly. "M-my name's Chiki," she said, trying to get her attention away from the apple the pokemon was eating. Her belly grumbled loudly. "Oh, sorry!" Chiki mumbled embarassedly, blushing.
The second time the pokemon apologized gave Ava a little more surprise. Normally she heard only the odd apology, making this a bit of a strange scenario. She swallowed another bite of her apple, and continued eating it. Ava wasn't pleased to hear the stutter either, since she didn't like pokemon who seemed spineless as she would put it. Ava swallowed the last few bits of her apple, when she heard the third apology. "You don't have to sorry so much, besides, it ain't your fault your hungry." Ava commented. For the most part, the Liepard was getting sick of the apologies, which was the reason she mentioned it.
"So, what brings you into the woods, Chiki?" Ava asked, saying the pokemon's name to make sure she had her attention.
Chiki was stunned. Why had the pokemon asked? "U-um... this is my first day wit-without my parents..." Chiki murmured quietly. She was nervous. She blushed. "Um... why are you here?" Chiki asked, hoping her question wasn't too bold.
Ava nodded, and not understood why Chiki had been so nervous in the first place. "Well there ain't anything to be worried about." Ava encouraged, just to be a tad bit kind. Despite it all, the Liepard knew that she had a rude behavior, this is why she would be nice every so often. Then the question swung back at Ava, which she hadn't expected, but was confident she could lie.
Ava had a talent in lying, and telling one to a stranger should be easy. "I was just looking for a comfortable place to eat my breakfast." Ava answered. It was partially true, since after she stole the apple she was going to find a nice place to eat it.
Ava watched as the Chikorita's face lit up, and the nervousness faded. She liked that this had happened, especially since the conversation would continue. The hint of excitement in Chiki's voice made the Liepard even more pleased.
"I like exploring for the most part, and I personally like competing." Ava answered. The thief had to leave a few things out, but talking about herself made it seem like she had no secrets. "Now, what about you?" Ava asked, swinging the question back.
Chiki was happy to answer the question that was swung back at her. "Well, I'm not sure, maybe exploring? Can you help me? I don't know this part of the land."
The offer made was one that Ava would leap at, for one main reason. Leadership, the Liepard loved the idea of being a leader. With a smile plastered to her face, Ava replied. "Sure, I've got time." She tried to keep the reply calm, trying to hid her excitement. However, her tail tip waved just a bit, showing that she was excited. "Anywhere you want to head?" Ava asked while she rose to her paws.
Chiki was excited. (She has no idea Ava will be leader ^^) She ran around in circles. "Nowhere specific, can you just show me around?" She asked, panting.
[ Yep, she will probably take control if she doesn't get it. xD ]
With a professional look, the Liepard began to think of a location to go first. They were already in the forest, so perhaps going by the river and the Big Oak first would be the best. They were very close to the river, and Ava knew that, since she checked this area for escape routes. "How about we head down to the river banks?" Ava suggested. The Liepard feared drowning, but as long as she didn't get her paws in the river, she would be fine.
"Sure! But where is it?" Chiki asked, a confused look on her face. W-where is it? she thought. She walked around, checking for things that might lead her to the river. She heard rushing water. She followed the noise. Next thing she knew, she was about to be swept away, legs awkwardly in place. "Umm... Ava?! Ava!!" Chiki yelled, her legs on the verge of going into the river.
(I think Chiki should be swept into the river, and Ava will decide not to, or to save her. Either one is fine. ^^)
